Specifically, he has led the transformation of two national $200MM specialty services firms, the acquisition and integration of a 22-company roll-up spanning five countries, a $425MM diversified professional services and staffing company towards profitability, a three-way merger of equals in the U.K., served as a member of a management team that built the world’s most profitable gaming and resort destination and has served at the Board level.
Having established a consistent record of strong returns over multiple business cycles at the C-level, Othon most enjoys working with high-potential companies who want to realize a path to greater economic prosperity. He has also worked pari passu with private equity firms and their limited partners, including university endowments, foundations, banks and public and corporate pension funds.
As COO of a $200MM national human capital firm with 40 offices, led its transformation through various initiatives including a) a complete brand overhaul and realignment, b) introduction of new value-add service lines, c) aligning new variable compensation systems with business objectives and d) empowering high potential business SBU leaders—resulting in doubling enterprise value in two years.
As CEO of $425MM accounting & finance, IT, healthcare, light industrial and commercial professional services and staffing firm with 100 offices and over 6000 employees, served on the Board and guided the turnaround by restructuring and successfully leading sale to a Kyoto, Japan-based strategic buyer for a Houston-based private equity firm.
As president & COO of a $350MM publicly held roll-up IT services firm serving five countries, merged 22 companies into one operating platform and then strategically divested units that were not strategic to the company’s plans, which also served to largely fund the initial roll-up. Subsequently, played a critical role in leading the company’s LBO alongside an acclaimed Boston-based private equity firm and later directed the acquisition and integration of a publicly held equal, which served to create one of the industry’s leading IT professional services firms.
Following the acquisition of a national equal, successfully integrated the two national brands, created a unified vision and executed on a growth and margin expansion plan. Realized the desired objective to produce a liquidity event with the sale of the firm to a strategic buyer.
Consulted on, organized and guided the integration of three London-based firms in the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), human resources consulting and executive search spaces through a series of measures over the span of eighteen months. The new firm was later acquired by one of HRO Today’s Baker’s Dozen.
Served as founding member which developed and operated one of the gaming and hospitalities most profitable resorts which grew to 15,000 employees and $1.5B in revenue, including overseeing the development of its critical destination venues.
Led the emerging market expansion initiatives for a gaming developer and operator into the U.S., Latin America and the Pacific Rim.
